The June monthly meeting has been canceled so please spread the word. We suggest you hold your own ‘meeting’ on one of the local trails, weather permitting of course, and raise a tall one post-ride.

GORC is working on membership discounts and coupons in 2013. We have Granada Cyclery and Etrailer on board and are working out the details. The info will be included in all new and renewing membership packets in a few weeks.

The Greensfelder Challenge is once again upon us. Now in it’s fourth year, this annual fundraiser that benefits GORC is also the official Missouri State Championship race this year.

GORC’s monthly meeting will be at the Schlafly Tap Room at 7pm this coming Wednesday 05/01/13. We will be discussing the Greensfelder Challenge, the opening of Bluff View trail, upcoming trail building events and other trail-related goodness. Join us for a few drinks and socialize.

GORC has new hoodies and t-shirts available now. Both are offered in hot pink and maroon and we will try and have them on hand at most of our trail building and meetings. We will accept PayPal but please pick up your clothing first to make sure we have your size available before paying.

There’s no need to toss your ruined tubes or tires. Sure that gash in your sidewall and that cursed tube may have stopped you in your tracks but consider donating their carcasses to one of the participating bike shops.

GORC’s newest sponsor, has donated more than 400 premium vinyl decal stickers soon available for your car. Two sizes available and they made their debut at the Bike Swap in January.

You can still access our old Blogger blog at gorctrails.blogspot.com. We plan to pull the ‘best of’ articles from it when we have some free time. All new blog posts will originate from our new site here on out.

We are hard at work compiling information for three additional gravel routes: the Al Foster in Wildwood, the Hamburg off Highway 94 and the never-ending Katy trail. Look for these new trail pages in the coming weeks.

If you’re leaving ruts like this, you should be riding on the road or gravel. We’ll probably have to schedule a workday to fix this kind of stuff instead of working on the new singletrack across University Drive that was begun yesterday.
