SIUE - Pre-Party Weedfest Maintenance

What:
Before the fatbike raffle party, GORC and Bike Surgeon would like a group effort to beat down the honeysuckle beast-growth that encroaches the SIUE trails each summer. We are meeting at 1pm and trimming until 3:30pm. Most people will be weedwhacking and lopping. A small crew will go to the maintenance road washout and rework it and there are 3-4 small trees down that will need a sawyer/swamper team. It will probably be hot so we don't expect anyone to work themselves to exhaustion. Pre or post-ride at your discretion.
We are encouraging people to sign up so we can get a tool count.
If you have a suitable trimmer, please bring it as we could use more for the maintenance day.
Where:
We will be parking in the turn around and along the gravel road on the South Side of the RC field, look for the signs. We will gather at the turn around and then hike or ferry people to the applicable build locations in the vast trail system that is SIUE.
What to bring: Gloves, Sturdy shoes, eye protection, and something to drink on the trail. Your BIKE.
