Chubb Trail Night Ride

St. Louis County Parks opens the Chubb Trail for night rides the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The trail is open but guides are NOT available so call a friend or form a group.

St. Louis County Parks & Recreation will open the Lone Elk trailhead gates but the West Tyson parking lots will be closed. (You can also park at the Allen road lot* at the railroad tracks off of Lewis Rd.) Chubb is recommended for Advanced and Expert Riders. Use your own discretion regarding weather and trail conditions. They do not post trail closings. Please do not ride the trails if they are muddy.

*Directions to Allen Road RR Track Lot - Take 44 to Lewis Rd exit. Continue past the West Tyson entrance on Lewis Rd. Follow Lewis for a few miles, then take a right on Allen Road. Continue until it dead ends at RR Track Lot (which is the lot between the Chubb Steps downhill and the Lone Elk river bottoms trail.)
