The 2017 Spring Trail Building Schedule is now posted. Be sure to check the website under the Rides and Events Tab -> Events subsection for information on each fall trail building event.

We have a winner and it’s Gary Belk. His name/activity was drawn randomly from a bag of 264 entires from 195 individuals that volunteers their time at a trail-building day and are current GORC members. We drew the name at the January 3rd Monthly Social at the Schlafly Bottleworks.

Save the date of Saturday, September 24! The Hub Bicycle company and New Belgium have teamed up to create the Spoker Ride – a poker run benefiting GORC.  You can pre-register for this event at the Hub with day-of registration at Hwy 61 Roadhouse.

We have a couple of winners! After a fun evening at Bike Surgeon we got down to business and raffled off the Southern Illinois Fat Tire Festival pair of tickets and Kevin Ginther was our lucky winner who also happened to be present. He’s excited to attend the event this October!

The successful spring trail building season has wrapped (1,900+ volunteer hours and counting!) and now it’s time to celebrate. Good things come to those who wait and boy have we waited. Well, with a crazed and busy post-spring season and the full mtb racing schedule we had to find a convenient weekend for everyone to be able to attend the raffle drawing.

The spring 2016 trail building season is upon us and GORC wants to reward those who put in their time helping to build and maintain our region’s singletrack. GORC and Bike Surgeon have teamed up to offer a cool prize, an Origin8 Crawler fat bike valued at $1,475.00.

In 2016, GORC is happy to announce that our membership benefits keep growing. We are happy to announce that ALL of our 2015 membership sponsors have signed on for 2016.

GORC hosts a thank you party in November each year that is close to our founding date way back in 1998. The party is a celebration of our volunteers’ hard work and dedication to designing, building and maintaining singletrack around St. Louis.

t. Charles County Parks (SCCP) has launched their new hotline for closure and cancelation information on Monday October 5th.  The new hotline is a web based system, that will allow them to update by phone, online or in their mobile app.

We have wanted to increase the amount of trail signage information available at trail intersections in several local county parks for many years. We will be making this a reality through the generosity of the REI grant and the approval of St. Louis County Parks.
