ABOUT TERRAIN

GORC and Terrain share the same passion for the great outdoors. Some of the Terrain staff has come out to a few of GORC’s trail building events and the magazine interviewed the club for one of its features. They are currently web-based but are gearing up for a print edition launching very soon. We are excited to have Terrain as one of our club sponsors.

Terrain is a locally owned and operated magazine that focuses on outdoor fitness, adventure and discovery in St. Louis and the surrounding area. Their goal is to connect area enthusiasts who are passionate about sports such as running, hiking, biking, paddling and climbing. Terrain’s editorial package includes top destinations and locations, personality and business profiles, education and tips, gear and accessories, sports nutrition and medicine, and fitness news and events.

Terrain magazine is scheduled to launch a print edition in 2014, with captivating and authentic content from local writers and breathtaking images from regional photographers. Complementing the printed format, our online presence includes expanded editorial coverage on our website, as well as active social media channels, to help readers enjoy their adventure of choice.

INFORMATION

Terrain magazine is the sole publication that addresses outdoor fitness opportunities in St. Louis. While some newspapers contain an outdoor or health/wellness segment, and there exist national magazines on specific adventure sports, there is no publication that speaks to local opportunities for residents who want to explore the many facets of outdoor recreation and active lifestyles in the Gateway City, whether for competition purposes, for their heath or simply for enjoyment.
