This event has been canceled due to COVID restrictions.  Look for a rescheduled event next Spring.

Location: Cliff Cave Park

Build Plans:  We will be working on the construction of a connector trail between the Spring Valley and River Bluff trails. This new trail will offer a much needed natural surface connection between the two.  It will cross through a small but scenic valley and work its way up a ridge to the Spring Valley Trail.

COVID-19 & Trailbuilding: As most trail crews are small, working outside of normal exposure to the public, trail building is an inherently “socially isolated” activity. GORC believes that utilizing best practices in maintaining a hygienic and safe work site can minimize the potential of exposure to COVID-19 for volunteers and the general public.  We will require all volunteers to maintain a physical distance of 6' while working.  If that is not possible, a mask will be required.  If you feel sick or have been exposed to someone who has recently been diagnosed with COVID-19, please stay home.  We will look forward to seeing you at a future trail build.

Directions: From I 255, take Telegraph rd south approx. 1.5  mile to a left on Cliff Cave Rd. Follow Cliff Cave Rd approximately 1.25mi into the park. Meet at the parking lot at the top of the hill - it will be the first lot on the left.

What to bring: Gloves, Sturdy shoes, eye protection, and something to drink on the trail.

Lunch will be provided.

If you haven't been to Cliff Cave recently or have yet to explore the trails, this may be a great opportunity to experience all that the trail system has to offer.

Weather and trail conditions providing, bring your bike for a post build ride.
