On January 9th, GORC will hosts its first meeting of the new year at the Schlafly Bottleworks. We will be meeting Thursday at 7pm in the Crown Room that overlooks the production warehouse. I think we will be distracted at times! I'm told there's even a staffed private bar for us!?
But the even way way bigger news is that we will be raffling off a sweet prize courtesy of Ballwin Cycles in West County.
Ballwin Cycles has been kind enough to offer a $500 credit towards a wheelset of the winner's choice. They can choose any in-stock wheelset, order a wheelset through Ballwin Cycles or have a custom wheelset built up by them**. The only tiny details: The credit goes towards a regularly priced wheelset and other offers/discounts cannot be combined.
The winner, so how did they even get in the raffle? Well, for starters you had to be a full-fledged GORC member AND you needed to have attended (and registered yourself on the day-of volunteer sheet) at least one of our fall trailbuilding events. If you showed up for more than one then your chances are better. Some of you hardy volunteers have 5+ chances to win!
So be sure to come out to our new meeting space at the Schlafly Bottleworks and see what GORC is up to in the brand new year. We have our spring schedule mapped out and will hopefully be able to include a few fun events this year. And don't miss the raffle!
