The Southern Illinois Fat Tire Festival (FTF) is on; and for this 10th year we have moved the date back to our traditional weekend, the last weekend of October, when the fall colors are in full swing and the weather is perfect for riding in the woods.  As usual we have miles and miles of great riding, the best food in all of Ozark, IL, copious free beverages, and mountains of schwag and prizes to give away.  We are also continuing some new traditions started last year; live music, climbing wall, vendor expo, road bike demo’s, trail runs and hike, zip lines and the totally rustic CampO cabins. We also figured we should keep improving and add a little something fun to the event; so on Sunday morning we are going to have the first ever O Face Adventure Race…..needless to say this is going to be FUN, challenging, and a great way to cap off this great weekend.  To keep it exciting we will be unveiling details of the O Face Race over the next two months leading up to the event.

Camp Ondessonk, in the heart of the Shawnee National Forrest, will once again play host to the Fat Tire Fest.  Spend the nights in the rustic one star luxury of the CampO cabins and tree houses. These rustic cabins give you the outdoor experience without the hassles of packing all your camping gear. Think open air sleeping with a roof over your head, no doors or screens to interrupt your enjoyment of all things outdoors.  A sleeping bag, some clothes, your bike and riding gear are all you need to bring. If you still want to drag along the tent and sleep on the ground we can accommodate you too, just hit us up on email after you have registered.

Every participant receives a commemorative tee shirt, goodie bag, lodging, five meals, free drinks from RedBull and many others (we’ve added a kick butt lunch on Sunday after the O Face Race), guided trail rides ranging from the tame to the extreme, the opportunity to ride top of the line Specialized demo bikes, access to a vendor expo put on by our top brands, chances to win thousands of dollars in giveaways, and of course all of the mountain biking and fun you can cram into 3 days! The FTF includes riding options for ALL SKILL LEVELS, from the gnarliest mountain biking anywhere with slick rock and creek crossings to gently rolling fire roads, you are sure to have a great time on the trails no matter your skill level. This year for the first time ever RedBull will be on site with their RedBull Fire Truck to help provide the motivation and ambiance for the FTF Challenge on Saturday night and keep the excitement going for the O Face Race.

Regular registration runs through October 15th. Late registration will be open through October 22nd.
