St. Louis County Parks opens the Chubb Trail for night rides the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The trail is open but guides are NOT available so call a friend or form a group.

St. Louis County Parks and Recreation will open the Lone Elk gates but the West Tyson parking lots are not accessible. You may also park/start at the Allen Road railroad tracks off of Lewis Rd. Recommended for Advanced and Expert Riders. Use your own discretion regarding weather and trail conditions. They do not post trail closings.

BIKE RIDE AT LONE ELK PARK (All Ages)

Ride the Chubb Trail after dark! Start your ride from the Lone Elk Park Chubb Trailhead and ride at your own pace. This steep and narrow trail along the Meramec River Valley is suggested for advanced to expert riders only. High intensity bicycle lights of at least 200 lumens are recommended. Helmets required for ages 16 and under.
